Day 1: 19th October 2026 - Gosford to Kiama

Departing from the Central Coast, the day commences with our home pick up service for Central Coast residents from our selected pick up area. Departing Kariong, we enjoy a scenic drive south to Kiama with a comfort stop en route before visiting the iconic Stanwell Park Lookout. You will enjoy lunch with a view overlooking Wollongong followed by a visit to HARS Air Museum before continuing on to stay at the lovely Sebel Kiama for the night, allowing exploration of the charming village and the spectacular Kiama Blowhole.

Day 2: Tuesday 20th October 2026 - Kiama to Batemans Bay
Embark on Day Two of The Long Way South Tour with a delightful buffet breakfast at the Sebel Kiama, followed by a visit to the Berry Treat Factory for mouthwatering treats and shopping opportunities. Explore the charming Berry Village before journeying to Lincoln Downs Resort, making stops along the way at Shoalhaven Zoo and Ulladulla for wildlife encounters and comfort breaks. Relax over a pre-dinner drink at the resort before indulging in a two course dinner to cap off the day.

Day 3: Wednesday 21st October 2026 - Batemans Bay to Eden
Embark on Day 3 of The Long Way South Tour with a delightful continental breakfast at Lincoln Downs Resort before heading towards Eden. Our morning comfort stop will be at Bodalla Dairy to savour fresh dairy products. We continue on to Central Tilba to explore its charming boutiques & gift shops. We will then visit the Bega Heritage Centre to delve into the history of Bega Cheese and sample local delights. We will enjoy a break at Tathra's coastal town and then head to Merimbula to explore the beaches and wildlife. We will conclude the day in scenic Eden at the Coachman's Hotel where we will relax over a delicious dinner with the calming ocean breeze.

Day 4: Thursday 22nd October 2026 - Local Day in Eden
Day 4 begins with a delicious breakfast at the Coachman's Eden before embarking on a thrilling whale watching adventure with Cat Balou Cruises. Witness awe-inspiring humpback whales playing in the open ocean while the knowledgeable crew shares insights about these magnificent creatures. Following the cruise, lunch at Merimbula Wharf awaits, surrounded by the bustling activity of fishing boats and the aroma of fresh seafood. A visit to the aquarium offers a peek into the diverse marine life of the Sapphire Coast. We will also enjoy some free time in the charming town of Eden, exploring historic streets, local shops, and the tranquil foreshore. The day will conclude with a two-course dinner at the Coachman's Eden before retreating to comfortable rooms reflecting on the unforgettable experiences in this coastal paradise.

Day 5: Friday 23rd October 2026 - Eden to Lakes Entrance
Welcome to day 5 of your adventure. Your day will kick off with a delicious breakfast at our Accommodation the Coachman's Eden, setting the tone for an exciting journey ahead. Departing from our cozy lodgings, our first stop will be at the Eden Whale Museum, followed by stunning visits to Mallacoota, Cann River, and Orbost as we head south towards Lakes Entrance. Reaching our destination, Bellevue on the Lake, prepare for a comfortable stay with picturesque views. We will end our day on a high note with a two-course dinner at the The Albert & Co Restaurant, located conveniently at our hotel. This diverse and enriching itinerary promises an unforgettable experience for everyone.

Day 6: Saturday 24th October 2026 - Local Day at Lakes Entrance
Embark on Day 6 of the Long Way South tour where we will immerse ourselves in the beauty of nature with a Luncheon Cruise in Metung. We will indulge in a delightful lunch at the Metung Pub and explore the charming lakeside village at our own pace. We'll see the breathtaking sights of Reeves Channel, Bancroft Bay, and Lake King on a 30km cruise, where we may encounter dolphins, sea birds, eagles, kangaroos, and various wildlife species.

Day 7: Sunday 25th October 2026 - Lakes Entrance to Traralgon
Embark on the Long Way South Tour's exciting Day 7 journey from Lakes Entrance to the Mantra Traralgon in Gippsland on October 25th, 2026. Experience the breathtaking scenic views along the way, with a special stop in the picturesque town of Sale for The port of Sale Heritage tour. We'll take a lake a leisurely cruise as we learn about Sale's rich history, explore local arts and crafts, and savour lunch at cozy coffee shops. We will arrive at the luxurious Mantra Traralgon for a delightful two-course dinner, perfectly capping off a day of adventure and relaxation.

Day 8: Monday 26th October 2026 - Wilsons Promenade to Phillip Island
Welcome to Day 8 of an unforgettable journey! We kick start our day with a delicious breakfast at The Mantra Traralgon. Our adventure continues as we travel south to Tidal River and Wilson Promenade, immersing ourselves in stunning wildlife and picturesque scenery. After a satisfying lunch, our destination is the luxurious Silverwater Resort on Phillip Island, where we will unwind for the next three nights. Day 8 promises a seamless experience with breakfast, transport, lunch, a delectable two-course dinner, and comfortable accommodation all included. Join us on this incredible retreat where every detail is taken care of, allowing you to simply relax and enjoy the beauty around you.

Day 9: Tuesday 27th October 2026 - Phillip Island Local Day - Churchill Farm & Penguin Parade
It's Day 9 of our Long Way South adventure! Begin our day with a hearty breakfast at the Silverwater Resort before delving into history at the iconic Churchill Farm on Phillip Island. We'll then take a leisurely stroll through the charming shops lining the picturesque esplanade at Cowes. We will then return to the comfort of Silverwater Resort for a restful few hours to rejuvenate for the evening ahead. After dinner, we prepare for a magical encounter with nature as we venture out to witness the enchanting Penguin Parade, guided by local experts. This captivating experience promises to be a highlight of our entire journey, creating lasting memories for all. Join us on this day filled with discovery, relaxation, and excitement, as we cater to the diverse interests and preferences of all our guests.

Day 10: Wednesday 28th October 2026 - Phillip Island Local Day
Day 10 of our Long Way South tour begins with breakfast at Silverwater Resort, followed by a thrilling exploration of Phillip Island Koala Conservation Reserve, a guided tour which offers insight into these fascinating creatures. Next, we head to the Nobbies Centre for a relaxing lunch at the cafe and a leisurely stroll along the boardwalks, soaking in panoramic views of Seal Island and Bass Strait. The highlight awaits in the afternoon—an immersive cruise to Seal Island for an up-close encounter with its majestic seal colony. As the day winds down, we'll indulge in a delectable two-course dinner at Silverwater Resort, the perfect ending to a truly wonderful day.

Day 11: Thursday 29th October 2026 - Phillip Island to the Central Coast
Day 11 of our Long Way South Tour begins with a hearty breakfast at Silverwater Resort before we bid farewell and head to Tullamarine Airport for our flight back to Sydney. Your Connect Coaches Guide will be with you to ensure a smooth transition once you land in Sydney, where the rest of the Connect Coaches team awaits to drive you back to the Central Coast in one of our comfortable mini buses.
Day 11 Inclusions: Breakfast at Silverwater Resort Phillip Island, coach transport to airport, airfares, transport from Sydney Airport to the Central Coast, home drop off service (within our advertised drop off area)

Deposit & Balance:
To secure your seat, we require a $300 non-refundable deposit is to be paid within 14 days of booking.
A second non-refundable deposit of $200 is to be paid 20 weeks before the departure date (by 1st June 2026). This deposit is to secure your airline ticket for the return flight back to Sydney.
The balance for this tour must be paid 12 weeks before the departure date (by 27th July 2026) unless an alternate arrangement has been made with Liam & Alison.
Fitness & Mobility:
Due to the activities in this tour's itinerary, it is important that people have an adequate level of mobility & stamina to manage & enjoy walking around the different venues.
Unfortunately, this tour is not suitable for those who require walkers as some venues will have stairs & uneven surfaces. A walking stick is an appropriate form of walking aid for this tour.
When booking accommodation venues, we always request ground floor rooms & walk-in showers. However, these requests cannot always be guaranteed by the venues.
Please note: the rooms at the Silverwater Resort on Phillip Island are a short walk away from the main block/reception/restaurant.
Luggage:
Passengers will be limited to one suitcase plus carry on baggage (small backpack, handbag etc.) to be able to travel on the flight home. The weight of each item will be dependent upon the airline's regulations & this information will be conveyed to you before our departure date.
Although we are happy to assist passengers with their luggage, you will be responsible for transporting your suitcase from our vehicle to your room during the tour. Passengers also need to be able to manage their luggage at the airport.
Travel Insurance:
Comprehensive travel insurance cover is strongly recommended for all tours to cover you against possible associated risks of travel including cover for medical expenses and costs, loss of luggage, and expenses incurred due to cancellations, delays or other disruptions.
Connect Coaches provide a complimentary home pick up & drop off service for those living within the advertised pick up area on the Central Coast. If you live outside of this area on the Central Coast, Connect Coaches can arrange to pick up from/drop off at home for an additional fee ($60 per person if travelling solo or $40 per person if travelling with someone from the same pick up address)
Passenger numbers:
We require a minimum of 10 passengers for this trip to proceed.
Terms & Conditions:
Important: The terms, conditions and limitation of liability under which the tour operates are detailed below and the payment of the tour deposit &/or balance represents acceptance by the passenger of the following:-
1. This tour has been organised by and will be operated by Connect Coaches.
2. To confirm your reservation, a non-refundable deposit of $300 per person must be received within 14 days of booking. The balance must be paid 12 weeks before departure date. Reservations will only be held until this date unless a prior arrangement has been made with Liam & Alison. Connect Coaches reserves the right to accept waitlist passengers in place of applicants failing to finalise within the prescribed time.
3. Occasionally it may be necessary to alter or amend *itineraries, accommodation and sightseeing arrangements from those published. This may be due to road, weather and other operational needs prevailing at the time and is always made in the best interest of your comfort. Times listed on the *itinerary are approximations only. Any personal expenses incurred by a passenger as a result of any delay, alteration or curtailment of any tour, whether caused by mechanical defect, strikes or any other cause are the responsibility of the passenger.
4. A minimum number of bookings is required to operate a tour and also to ensure an enjoyable group atmosphere. Where sufficient numbers cannot be achieved, Connect Coaches reserves the right to cancel or postpone a scheduled departure date or tour. When a tour is cancelled by Connect Coaches, your monies will be refunded in full. If the tour is postponed & you are unable to travel on the new date, your monies will be refunded in full.
5. Any special passenger requirements must be notified to Connect Coaches on the Booking Form provided at the point of booking. No passenger will be permitted to embark or continue on the tour while their mental or physical condition is, in the opinion of any representative of Connect Coaches, such as to render themselves incapable of caring for themselves, or whereby they become objectionable to other passengers, or they become a hazard to themselves or other passengers. Connect Coaches will not be responsible for expenses resulting in such persons being precluded from completing the tour for any such reason.
6. Where a tour is cancelled prior to the departure date, according to sections 2 or 3 above or due to an outbreak of Covid-19, Connect Coaches shall endeavour to offer the nearest possible alternative tour (subject to a refund or payment to cover any tour price difference.) or, if this is not acceptable, refund your monies in full.
7. Connect Coaches cannot guarantee exact arrival and departure times and is not liable for any failure to make connections with any other service or guarantee the operation of any particular service.
8. Connect Coaches reserves the right to cancel any ticket or booking or to refuse to carry any passenger where payments have not been received within the times specified. It is a condition of carriage that a passenger has paid all tour monies prior to departure of the tour.
9. Cancellation Fees – Connect Coaches’ tours require extensive planning, coordination and costs, as well as advance bookings and payments of accommodation and activities. In the event that you have to cancel your tour with us, the following rates will apply to our transport component of the tour. Any motel or additional travel cancellation costs may be applicable as per their individual cancellation policies:

10. Comprehensive travel insurance cover is strongly recommended for all tours to cover you against possible associated risks of travel including cover for medical expenses and costs, loss of luggage, and expenses incurred due to cancellations, delays or other disruptions.
11. Although your safety and comfort are our highest priority, all passengers who participate in our tours do so at their own risk and Connect Coaches cannot accept responsibility for any loss of personal belongings, accident, illness or injury incurred by you.
12. "Act of God" or "Force Majeure" Clause: the occurrence of an event that is beyond Connect Coaches' reasonable control and which could not have been reasonably prevented which includes, but is not limited to: (a) pandemic events such as Covid-19; (b) natural disaster (including but not limited to flooding, fire, earthquake, landslide), adverse weather conditions, high or low water levels; (c) nuclear or other industrial accident causing environmental pollution or contamination; or (d) change in government restrictions or regulations. Should a Force Majeure event prevent Connect Coaches from providing your tour as planned, we will change our travel arrangements as reasonably practicable to ensure your safety and invoice you for any possible additional costs if required.
