'Life of Riley - 6 Day Snowy Mountain Tour

Day One

  • 7:30am - 8:30am Home pick ups
  • Depart Central Coast  at 9am
  • 10:00am - 10:30am - Morning Tea Cumberland State Forrest [ Home Made slices ]
  • 10:30am - Depart Cumberland State Forrest traveling to Bowral
  • 12:00pm - 1:30pm Lunch Bowral
  • [ Purchase your own Lunch in one of the cafes and time to look at shops ]
  • 1:30pm Depart Bowral - Mount Ainslie Lookout Canberra 
  • 3;00pm Mount Ainslie Lookout Canberra 
  • 3:30pm Depart Mount Ainsle lookout - Lake Jindabyne Hotel
Then it's back in the coach to head for the wonderful Snowy Mountains. Once you have checked into your hotel unit overlooking Lake Jindabyne, you can come up to our restaurant for a glass of wine before dinner. There you can meet the staff and get to know fellow passengers on the tour. We will then sit down to a hearty three-course meal. After dinner you may relax in your room with TV, join the locals for a drink in the bar, swim in the indoor heated pool or have a game of pool.

Day Two

Today we head off for the mountains. First stop Thredbo Village. You have the option of a chair lift ride, a stroll around the village. From here you board the coach and drive to Bullocks Flat for a look at the one and only famous Skitube of Australia and a delicious morning tea beside the beautiful Thredbo River. Then it is back in the coach for a scenic drive through the mountains looking at Smiggins, Perisher and Charlottes Pass. Here we stop for Lunch while looking over at Australia's highest peak, Mount Kosciuzko. After a big day of all that sight seeing we finally head back to the hotel.

Day Three
Today we're off to visit the local township of Dalgety. Situated on the Snowy River, you will be able to sit and enjoy the gently trickle of the river as you feed the ducks and have morning tea. Then it is back on the bus and off to the Berridale Winery, we you will have the opportunity to sample some of the regions finest wines.We then head back to the hotel for a BBQ lunch on the deck. The afternoon is your time to explore Jindabyne. Being located in the centre of town makes it easy to explore. You can go for a stroll along the concrete footpaths that wind around the lake. Visit the National Parks & Wildlife Information Centre, The Bowling Club and Sports Centre, The cinema and art gallery
Day 4
Day 4 we travel to historic Cabramurra and visit the town ship of Adaminaby, and see the Enormous Lake Eucumbene, Providence Portal and Mt Selwyn.
Day 5
Today it's off to Gaden Trout Hatchery; we will have morning tea by the river and a guided tour of the hatchery.
Then it's back on the bus, and we head for Cooma. We will spend the afternoon exploring Cooma's sights. One of the highlights is a Visit to the Snowy Hydro Center were we watch a short film on the Mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme. After lunch in the park, you will have some spare time to do some shopping or visit the Cooma Visitors Centre.
Day 6
Today is an early breakfast before setting off for the journey home; we will arrive in Sydney approx 4pm.
