Bundanoon Highland Gathering 2026

This annual event began on 21 October 1978, its principal aim to raise funds for local charities and bring tourists to Bundanoon in particular and the Southern Highlands in general thereby benefiting local businesses, guesthouses and hotels. Continuing to this day, “Bundanoon is Brigadoon” has become one of the most successful events staged in the area. From its humble beginnings of a handful of pipe bands and spectators, and is recognised worldwide and has grown to into one of the finest Highland Gatherings in Australia

Itinerary:

6:00am - 6:45am    **Pick up route in selected locations on the Central Coast

7:00am     Depart West Gosford - there will be a quick comfort stop en route to the venue

9:45am     Arrive at venue

The Opening Ceremony begins at 10.00am. The Gathering is officially opened by the Chieftain of the Day.
We will then treated to a spectacular Massed Pipes and Drums display. The sheer pageantry of the display has to be seen to be appreciated.
At the Oval, there will be over 80 specialist stalls, selling everything Scottish, from pies & shortbread to Clan memorabilia & souvenirs, with plenty of food promoting many nationalities, even the Scots’ favourite, the Haggis!

1:30 - 2:00pm   Depart venue

4:30 - 5:00pm  Arrive back at West Gosford & begin drop off route

Times indicated below are approximations only & may be adjusted closer to the transfer dates, depending on which pick up points are required & whether we decide to send one or two buses to do the pick ups.
