The Tulip Express Tour: 22nd-23rd September 2026 - sold out
All aboard for Connect Coaches' first-ever
TULIP EXPRESS TOUR!
TOUR DATES: Tuesday 22nd - Wednesday 23rd September 2026
DAY ONE: An early home pick up service this morning in preparation for a fun-filled two days ahead with our planned departure time from Kariong at 7:30am.
We express down to Bowral, with a comfort stop en route You will then have a couple of hours at your leisure to immerse yourself in tulips at the annual “Tulip Time” event held at Corbett Gardens. There will also be time for you to partake in a little retail therapy at some of the many boutique shops in this lovely town (there are also a couple of great op shops) & purchase a bite to eat for lunch.
We depart Bowral & continue our search for more beautiful tulips. Following a comfort stop & a quick “hello” to Rambo, Goulburn’s Big Merino, we spend some time at Tulip Top Gardens, located in Sutton. This stunning, seasonal garden is famous for its acres of hand-planted tulips and daffodils. You can enjoy an afternoon cuppa whilst admiring the Spring colours.
We leave Tulip Tops by 5:00pm & travel the short distance to our accommodation for the night, the Ramada Diplomat, Canberra. Following a two-course dinner served from 6:30pm, you can retire for the night to your room for a comfortable night’s sleep.
DAY TWO: After enjoying breakfast, it’s time to check out of the Ramada Diplomat & head over to Commonwealth Park, the home of Floriade & Australia’s biggest Spring Festival. This month-long event showcases stunning displays of spring flowers, bulbs, and vibrant garden beds & welcomed over ½ million visitors in 2025. It will feature over a million beautiful blooms, entertainment, workshops, and markets. You will have about 2 hours to wander around the festival.
We recommend, if you have time, visiting the National Capital Exhibition, located next to Floriade at Regatta Point (& overlooking Lake Burley Griffin). This interesting exhibition tells the story of Canberra as Australia’s capital city.
At 11:30am, we farewell Canberra & begin our journey back to the Central Coast. After one last chance to take a photo of yourself with Rambo in Goulburn, we stop for a delicious lunch at the Cottage Café in historic Berrima.
Our Tulip Express Tour concludes at Kariong at about 5:30pm, where you will be reunited with your friendly Connect Coaches Driver who will transport you home after a wonderful & bright two days away.
