Historic Cockatoo Island & Parramatta River by Ferry

Itinerary:

8:00 am - 9:00 am - Home pick up service - Please click here for map

9:15am: Depart the Central Coast after a comfort stop at Kariong

Arrive at Barrangaroo & enjoy an early lunch (or purchase lunch to take across to the island) then board the RiverCat/Ferry with your Connect Coaches Guide & be transported across to Cockatoo Island

12:15am - 1:45pm: Guided tour - "Island Highlights Tour" - This 60 minute tour charts the changing face of Cockatoo Island. As you visit key landmarks from bygone eras, your Guide will reveal how they fit into the island’s historical narrative. Your Guide will also share anecdotes about a colourful cast of real-life characters, including convicts, wayward youths and dock workers.

Purchase a quick cuppa from the kiosk (time permitting) before catching the River Cat/Ferry to Sydney Olympic Park Wharf - we board the ferry just after 2:00pm for a 35 minute cruise up the Parramatta River escorted by your tour guide. We then meet our coach driver at Sydney Olympic Park Wharf who will transport us back to the Central Coast.

4:00pm (approx.): Arrive back on the Central Coast & begin home drop off service

This tour is not suitable for those with limited mobility as there is walking involved & steps/sloping ground to navigate. The guided tour will start on the lower island but also move up to the plateau which is accessed by walking up a slope. If you prefer, you can choose to stay on the lower island & explore this further.
