DAY ONE: Our convenient home pick up service awaits you this morning in preparation for a lovely two days ahead with our planned departure time from Kariong at 8:30am.
We travel along the Bells Line of Road to arrive at our first destination this morning, the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, also known as Mount Tomah. You will have some time to wander around this venue, which is the highest botanic garden in Australia. The gardens showcase cool-climate plants on a 1,000-metre-high basalt peak within a World Heritage area.
After a wander & perhaps a caffeine fix from the venue’s Bellbird Cafe, we head over to ~Windyridge Garden in nearby Mount Wilson. This beautiful garden showcases an extensive range of cool climate plants including Japanese Maples, camellias, azaleas, hydraeangers and more. With picnic areas spread throughout this garden, you will have time to explore the beauty & enjoy a packed lunch courtesy of a local gourmet deli.
After departing Mount Wilson, we travel over to Leura with a stop along the way at one of the Blue Mountains many lookouts to capture a photo or two of the stunning scenery. We will arrive at our accommodation for the night, Leura Gardens Resort, at about 4:00pm.
Following a two-course dinner served from 6:30pm in the resort’s restaurant, you can retire for the night to your room for a comfortable night’s sleep.
DAY TWO: After enjoying breakfast, it’s time to check out of our accommodation & explore a few of the stunning private gardens taking part in this year’s annual Leura Garden Festival. There are large and small gardens in the festival and each garden has its own distinctive character.
The cool climate gardens of Leura are well known for their magnificent displays of azaleas, rhododendrons, dogwoods, camellias and other exotics, as well as flowering annuals, perennials and bulbs.
After visiting two gardens, we stop for lunch at the interesting Bygone Beautys in Leura before departing at about 2:00pm where we plan to visit one final garden at Wentworth Falls before saying ‘adieu’ to the mountains.
We will make a comfort stop on the way home, arriving back at our meeting point at Kariong at approximately 5:00pm
~ Please note: If the Mount Wilson Rd is still closed at the time of this tour, we will visit an alternate garden

Deposit & Balance:
To secure your seat, we require a $200 non-refundable deposit to be paid within 14 days of booking (once prices have been finalised).
The balance for this tour must be paid 10 weeks before the departure date (unless an alternate arrangement has been made with Liam & Alison).
**If your home pick up address is not within our advertised pick up/drop off area (that is; it is located on the Central Coast but north of Tuggerah & The Entrance), there will be an additional fee charged if you would like us to arrange to pick you up from/drop you off at home.
Additional Cost: $80 per person if travelling solo / $40 per person if travelling with someone from the same pick-up address.
Fitness & Mobility:
Due to the activities in this tour's itinerary, it is important that people have an adequate level of mobility & stamina to ensure that they are able to enjoy & manage walking around the gardens.
When booking accommodation venues, we always request ground floor rooms & walk-in showers. However, these requests cannot always be guaranteed by the venues.
