Welcome to our Photo Gallery showcasing highlights from our recent Public Day tour, a memorable experience enjoyed by visitors of all ages and backgrounds. Today, we embarked on a fascinating guided journey through Old Government House, a beautifully preserved heritage-listed site steeped in history. This remarkable building originally served as the country residence for ten early Governors of the Colony of New South Wales between 1800 and 1847. Set within the picturesque Parramatta Park, located in Parramatta, a vibrant suburb in Western Sydney, the house stands as a testament to Australia’s colonial past and architectural heritage. Our knowledgeable guide shared intriguing stories and insights about the house’s design, its inhabitants, and its role in shaping early Australian governance. Visitors were captivated by the unique artifacts, period furnishings, and the lush gardens surrounding the estate, all offering a vivid glimpse into life during the early 19th century. After the tour, we gathered for a relaxing and delicious lunch at Parramatta Leagues Club, a popular local venue known for its welcoming atmosphere and diverse menu. This communal dining experience provided the perfect opportunity for attendees to share their impressions and enjoy the warm hospitality of Western Sydney. We invite you to explore the photos from this special day, capturing moments of history, culture, and community spirit.
