Held each year on the first Saturday in July, at Aberdeen in the Upper Hunter Valley, the Aberdeen Highland Games have become become a recognised event on the national calendar, drawing hundreds of people to the township every year to enjoy the festivities.

The Games begin with a parade of bands, clan representatives and others that leads into the Massed Band Salute and Chieftain's Address that officially opens the day. Throughout the day, there will be fun for all the family - Highland and Country Dancing, Pipe Band displays, Strong Man events with the Tartan Warriors to enjoy, as well as tug-of-war, three-legged races, and the famed Kilted Dash to participate in. A multitude of stores and stands will surround the area selling all manner of Scottish heirlooms and souvenirs, clothing and garb, and food and drink to complete your day.

  • Home pick-up & drop-off service (within our pick up/drop off area)
  • Return transfer to Aberdeen, NSW
  • Morning tea (bottled water, juice & biscuits/muffins)
  • Entry into the Aberdeen Highland Games, Scone

    Proposed Itinerary

6:30am - 7:30am    Home pick up service in selected areas of the Central Coast

7:30am     Depart Tuggerah - there will be a quick comfort stop enroute to the venue

9:45am     Arrive at venue - Jefferson Park, New England Hwy, Aberdeen 

  • 10:30am      Highland and Country dancing
  • Pipe Band displays
  • Kilted Warrior's competition, including sheaf toss and caber toss
  • Tug o' War
  •  Novelty events such as: kilted dash, potato sack race, egg & spoon race, best dressed laddie & lassie and pet competition

1:30pm   Depart venue

4:00pm  Arrive back at Tuggerah & begin home drop off service

*Times are approximations only & subject to change. We plan to arrive at the venue in time for the Opening Ceremony at 9:45am, but cannot guarantee this.

Please note; we will not arrive in time at the venue for the Grand Parade at Harrison Oval, scheduled to begin at 9:00am.

Bring Your Own  - Fold up chair or picnic rug, blanket, picnic lunch, drinks

Connect Coaches reserves the right to cancel this event, possibly at short notice, if the forecast is for inclement weather. If this occurs, a refund of Connect Coaches' component will be issued to passengers.
