The Snowy Mountain Adventure


Day 1 - Central Coast to Cooma

Depart Central Coast: 9:00am

Home Pick-up Service please click here - 8:00am - 9:00am

9:30am- 10:00am Morning tea stop - Cumberland State Forest (provided by Connect Coaches)

 

 

11:30am - 1:00pm Lunch stop at Bowrel

Time to Explore village and have lunch in one of the many cafes in Bowrel (Lunch is to be purchased at own expense)

Depart Bowrel at 1:00pm and arriving at Mount Ainslie at 3:00pm for Afternoon stop

Depart Mount Ainslie at 3:00pm and Arriving at Cooma at 5:00pm

7:00pm Dinner at Cooma Ex-Servicemans Club


Day 2 - Cooma to Yarrangobilly Caves

Yarrangobilly Caves

We will be met and greeted by a local tour guide from Gang Gang Tours, a Snowy mountains tour operator. Followed by: 

A visit to the Snowy Hydro Discvery Centre in Cooma, including half hour documentary about the    History of the scheme

Tour of the Snowy Scheme Museum in Adaminaby

 Photos at the 'Big Trout' and lunch at Adaminaby Bakery

Guided Eco Tech Tour of the caves precinct at Yarrangobilly Caves

Accommodation and dinner at Caves House, Yarrangobilly Caves


Day 3 -Yarrangobilly Caves to Khancoban

Guided tour of Jillabenan cave (89m long, flat and fully accessible). 

Lunch in Cabramurra (Australia's highest town).

Accommodation and dinner at Queen's Cottages and Rose Holiday Units in Khancoban.


Day 4 - Khancoban to Jindabyne

Guided tour of Murray 2 Power Station.

Morning tea at Geehi flats in Kosciuszko National Park.

Lunch (including gin and schnapps tasting) at Wild Brumby Distillery, Thredbo Valley.

Accommodation and local high-country canapes and snacks (No dinner needed after lunch at Wild Brumby!) at the Jindy Inn in Jindabyne.


Day 5 - Jindabyne

Scenic chairlift ride in Thredbo (or explore thredbo village).

 Picnic lunch and tour at Gaden Trout Hatchery.

Snowgums Boardwalk (10m or 200m walk) at Charlotte Pass for views of Mount Kosciuszko.

Dinner and Accommodation at the Jindy Inn


Day 6 - Jindabyne

Tour via historic Dalgety and the Snowy River to Berridale.

Visit with the artists at two localart galleries in Berridale.

Lunch at cafe in Berridale.

Free afternoon in Jindabyne including National Parks Visitor Information Centre Exhibits.

Dinner and accommodation at the Jindy Inn.

 


Day 7 - Jindabyne back to Asquith

Includes

All accommodation (Based on double/twin share. Single Suppplement = $265).

All national park entry fees.

Guided echo Tech Tour at Yarrangobilly Caves.

Guided Jillabenan Cave Tour at Yarrangobilly Caves.

Guided tour of Murray 2 Power Station.

Scenic Chairlift ride Thredbo.

Guided tour of Gaden Trout Hatchery.

Entry to Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre Cooma, Snowy Scheme Museum Adaminaby, Cabramurra Visitor Centre and General store, and Gaden Trout Hatchery.

Schnapps and gin tasting at Wild Brumby Distillery.

6 Breakfasts, 5 lunches, 4 dinners, local high country canapes and snacks on Day 4.
